Can I become an independent contractor and work through Work for Impact?

Work for Impact welcomes any independent contractors looking to be involved in meaningful projects to create an account with us.

You can be from anywhere in the world, be skilled in any field of expertise and have any level of experience.

As an independent contractors' platform,  Work For Impact does not hire anyone directly; we connect talented independent contractors with non-profit organisations and socially and environmentally responsible companies. As an independent contractor, you are a self-employed worker and are entirely responsible for your training, taxes, workplace, equipment, etc.

If you are at least 18 years old and not located in one of Hong Kong's restricted countries, you are more than welcome to create your free account as an independent contractor.

 

Restricted Countries:

United Nations Sanctions Ordinance (Cap. 537 of the Laws of Hong Kong) and its subsidiary regulations are enacted to implement resolutions of the Security Council of the United Nations against respective countries in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.  In accordance with the above Ordinance, Hong Kong's trade and other activities with such countries are subject to certain restrictions:
