Which level of English Proficiency should I select?

We have three language skills levels that you can choose to describe your proficiency:

  • Conversational – you can communicate on everyday topics with minor grammar or vocabulary mistakes, but you can't write in this language.

  • Fluent – you have the ability to express any idea without hesitation, and with good vocabulary and grammar, people understand you easily. Both your spoken and written skills are good.

  • Native or Bilingual – you have complete fluency in the language, such that speech on all levels is fully accepted by educated native speakers in all its features. Different from "Fluent" in the way that you now understand the language's structure, you can explain how this language works to other people. You also can use idiomatic language and understand local accents.

The level of English proficiency you choose should match the level of English skills you have. Make a self-assessment based on the above definitions, or try some online English testing sites to help you more accurately determine your proficiency.
