How do I apply for jobs?

Once you find a job that you're interested in by using the 'Find a Job' feature, you'll have the opportunity to submit a proposal to the client. A proposal is essentially an application for the job and will allow you to tell the client about your skills and experience and why you're a good fit for their project.

How to submit a proposal

  1. Log in to your account and use the 'Find a Job' page to find jobs that match your requirements.
  2. Click on each job's title to access all the detailed job post:

  3. A window will open on the right — review the job description and read carefully all the details and specifications. If you meet the client's requirements (skills, experience, location) and decide to submit a proposal for the job, click the "Apply on Work for Impact" button.

  4. A window will open where you can add your bid (USD) according to whether the project is hourly paid or fixed price. Write a cover letter and answer the client's questions (if they've included any). Provide thorough and detailed answers to let the client know you have a solid grasp of the subject matter required for the project.

You can check this article from our Community on how to send a stellar proposal if you'd like.

  5. Once you're happy with the details you provided, click the "Send Proposal" button to submit your application.

  6. You can click on the "Proposals" tab in the independent contractor menu to monitor the status of your active proposals. Good luck! 😊

On our platform, we have two types of jobs - the ones posted by registered clients on Work for Impact and others posted by purpose-driven companies (not registered clients on the platform) that we share on the platform.
If you see the "Verified" information on a job post, like in the example below, it means the client is a registered client on our platform:

But we want our platform to be a place of inspiration and action and share incredible purpose-driven opportunities, even if the companies are not registered clients on Work for Impact. We want to spread the word about how many purpose-driven projects exist in the world and how driven they are to make a positive impact.
If a job post does not have the "Verified" and "Apply on Work for Impact" information, it means that they are opportunities posted directly by the companies, who are also responsible for receiving the applications and the recruitment process.
